Christmas Letter

Christmas Greetings from the Boorman's

It is our first Christmas in our new home. This has been a year with many new first's. I guess I'd better start at the beginning.
Last winter we decided that the best way for the younger generation to take over the farm would be for us to move off the farm We asked Trish and Christian if they would be interested in moving to the farm. Trish could take over the bookkeeping for the farm and Christian had a job that he could work from home. After much prayer they agreed. We began looking for a home close to Moses Lake and not too far from the farm so Wes could commute. God marvelously provided a beautiful home for us. We needed more than two bedrooms so we began the process of buying and then adding on to our home.
We moved in on July 4th. Well I should say mostly moved in. I still have to finish the job. After thirty five years in one house there was a lot to move and Trish and Christian had bathrooms to remodel! We are closer to Moses Lake now so we attend church at First Baptist in Moses Lake. It was very difficult to leave our friends and church family in Quincy!
In May, Jacob and Debbie had a small wedding at Warm Springs Inn just outside of Wenatchee. With Jacobs immediate family and ours we had fifty people there. They had a reception in Yakima in June.
With our moving , Trish moving to George and Debbie getting married, and the poor economy it became obvious that owning and operating Fresh Taste Meals was no longer a good business choice. We had a few interested in buying but ended up selling the equipment and closing the doors in October.
Vicky went home to China in June just after Helen's graduation. Helen was the only graduate from New Life Christian School. We had a great potluck party after the ceremony and visited with friends and family. In August Wes and I packed her things, left the boys off with sisters and headed for LA and Biola University. We were able to take our time going down and did some sightseeing along the California Coast.
The boys are attending New Life and Wes and I share the driving. It is nice to be only 18 minutes from school. It is the first year that we haven't had teacher conferences with Mrs. Lopez/Angela since we started going NLCS! They are just as fun as ever! Jeffley is in first grade. Pierre and Kenzy are in second.

On December 6, 20ll, Lane Wesley Peterson was born 7'8" and 20 " long to Rebecca and Jarred. He is healthy and growing. Rebecca has some complications from the birth. She has some paralysis both her legs which the Drs. think will resolve itself in time. It has been quite the challenge for them.

We pray that you have a wonderful 2012 and your Christmas is a time to reflect on our Savior who gave us the greatest gift of all....Himself.
