Recent update

The kids opening their Christmas presents.

Jeffrey loved opening all his Christmas gifts and was excited to be in the volunteer house with both of his brothers to open the gifts that you sent. You’ll need eyes in the back of your head when he gets home; Jeffrey wanted to look at everything and examine everything and touch everything inside the house. He has such an inquisitive mind and loves to explore new things, which is great until he is banging on the computer! If Jeffrey ever struggled opening one of his gifts he liked to use his teeth and bite the paper off instead, he’s a creative little boy! He loves the yoyo ball and his new jammies and was excited to see new music too. Jeffrey did a great job with the yoyo ball; he was able to do it just like his brothers. Jeffrey also loved the other Christmas gifts that he got; he received a ball and a truck and has been having lots of fun with both of them. Jeffrey loves the new Little Tykes cars that we have here, he and Pierre liked to squash in and ride in them together, just like a Haitian tap-tap. He has been healthy this past month and currently weighs 27 pounds 5.6 ounces."

Kendy is growing up so fast. Here is part of the update I recieved. "He’s still as active as ever and always getting into things but he has been tuning into such a sweet boy. It was really obvious when he came over to the volunteer house to open his presents with his brothers. Kendy is great at watching out for them, making sure that I had given them gifts when he had one in his hand and reminding me to give them treats too! He was so excited to open his gifts, he opened all of his presents really quickly letting me know that he could do it himself; “m ka fait”. Each time I would hand him a parcel he would ask if it was candy, Kendy loves treats. As soon as he saw his new jammies he wanted to put them on. Then he kept asking if he could put them on and go to Cap! We’ve convinced him to wear them to bed. This month Kendy weighs 36 pounds 3 ounces.

Someone donated gifts for all the kids. Pierre recievea a soccer ball.
Pierre's update:
"In the evenings he loves to help the person brushing the children’s teeth and as soon as that job is done, he starts asking for a movie. Lately he asks for the “Baby Beluga movie” all the time, but gets excited about any one you put on. Pierre’s manners are great! He is quick to show his appreciation for anything he is given and is so dear about it because he almost always personalizes his “mesi” and “si vous plait” by adding the name of whoever is giving him something. Pierre’s weight this month is 35 pounds 9.2 ounces."

We found out that it has been taking 4-5 weeks to get a document from National Archives. Which means we could be waiting another two or more weeks.

Blessings,
Julie

That would be amazing to meet up at COTP! Sounds like you are a little closer though so I won't hold it against you if you don't wait for us ;)

I love the updates they send us so much more than just basic height & weight.

Hugs, Laurie
