Visa Appointment! Uh no!

So yesterday I called the consulate to see if Kendy's I-600 was there and good news it was and now he can have his parent interview. While I had them on the phone I asked about the other two's file, if the were ready for thier Visa appointment and was told yes they were ready. After picking my mouth off the floor I asked who did I need to talk to and was told this person could make the appointment, when did I want to come? So I made an appointment for Monday the 18th and I was told I would recieve a confirmation email. After making some phone calls and emails, it seemed that we were going to Haiti next week to get the boys. I did not recieve the email and remembered that Monday was a holiday so decided to call back today to see if I could reschedule our appointment for Tuesday. When I finally got through (the consulate only takes calls for adoptions between two and three each day) They had already changed the apt. to Tuesday. I was told to wait a minute while they checked the kid's file. Then I was asked, "You will bring in the missing document when you come, correct?" I asked if we could get our visa if the document was missing and was told no. I canceled the apt. knowing that if we went the chances that we would be stuck in Haiti for two or three weeks were high.
In the mess of things it comes out their wasn't a typo....there was never a Archive death certificate and that is what we have been waiting for since Jan 3rd.
Once again plans to go and hopes dashed.
God still sits on the throne.

Oh, Julie - I am so sorry that you got your hopes up only to be dashed again! This process is just so insanely unpredictable. I too am waiting for one document at this point (the birth parent interview document) - I pray that both of our documents come THIS WEEK and that we are both with our kiddos very soon!!

Praying with you. We have on girl out of MOI and one girl still in. May God intervene and organize the paperwork for us all!

My name is Julie, too. :)
